“ Food was amazingly delicious and the service was excellent. Will definitely come back here next time I'm in town. ”
“ If you're on the hunt for an authentic Korean dining experience, look no further than YD Tofu House! This gem truly captures the essence of Korean cuisine with its rich flavors and warm ambiance. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with friendly service that makes you feel right at home. The menu is extensive, featuring a variety of traditional dishes, but the star of the show is undoubtedly the tofu. Each dish is crafted with fresh ingredients, and the house-made tofu is simply outstanding--silky smooth and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend trying the sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew); it's comforting and packed with just the right amount of spice. The banchan (side dishes) are also a delightful touch, offering a taste of various Korean flavors that complement the meal perfectly. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Korean cuisine or trying it for the first time, YD Tofu House delivers an unforgettable culinary experience. Don't miss out on this fantastic spot--you'll leave wanting to come back for more! ”
“ One of my favorite restaurants for comfort food. This has been my go-to birthday restaurant. Better than BCD Tofu House. My favorite dish, and their specialty, is the tofu soup of course. I prefer either the seafood or beef tofu soups. The tofu soups come at more an individual size. Entrees come with rice and side dishes to make the perfect meal. The bulgogi and seafood pancake are also classic crowd favorites. The bossam is great to share with friends. Personally love the grilled mackerel! The tofu kimchi was pretty, loved the tofu and kimchi but did not like the pork in this dish. I've had better yukgaejang... disappointing and could not finish. Stick with the classics! They are called tofu house after all! For the service, you have to wave waiters down sometimes, but they are nice and you get exactly what you need. The restaurant's pricing has gotten really expensive, so I only go here every once in a blue moon. I like the Freeport location significantly more than the Folsom one. The Folsom location was buzzing with flies and looming ajummas the last time I went. ”
“ Food: 5 Mics Service: 5 Mics Ambiance: 4 Mics Food: Ordered my go to, my favorite - Kalbi short ribs and rice. The Kalbi was tender, sweet and. It too fatty. I was very satisfied with how much they give you, I ate the whole plate, I'm too stingy to share. Service: The service here was pretty good. The gentleman who took our order, was polite and gave us solid recommendations. The only complaint is one of our dishes was forgotten about and we had to remind the staff a couple of times. Finally we received our entree 15-20 minutes after everything arrived. Ambiance: Outside, I probably would not have walked in. After my friend recommended this joint to me, talked my wife and brother in law to take our niece from Oakland there. Inside, it's nice. Clean. Dark. Lastly, bathrooms are pretty clean! Check it out, food is legit. I'll be back for some bim bap. ”
“ Love all the side dishes that come out! You get so many! Galbi was delicious! Full of flavor. Kimchi Soup was yummy as well. Probably pass on the kimchi fried rice next time though. Didn't have that spicy taste I'm used to. More of a slight sour taste. Overall, very tasty. Would definitely go back. ”
